Diabetes Research Network
The NIHR Diabetes Research Network is part of the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network, and forms part of the UK Clinical Research Network.
The primary goal of the NIHR Diabetes Research Network (DRN) is to achieve benefits for people with diabetes, or at risk of developing diabetes, through excellence in clinical research.

A resource for researchers and their teams
Barriers to research participation are well evidenced, but less is known about patients’ experiences which might better inform future recruitment strategies and retention into studies.
The DRN have developed an Exit Questionnaire template to help collect this evidence. Originating in the Eastern England DRN, this template is now being used by a number of local DRNs and associated NIHR organisations.
Researchers and their teams can download the template questionnaire.
